At Spiazzi we issue a challenge for Venice while asking everybody a question.
The empty and abandoned spaces in the Venetian archipelago and the 20 million visitors that whirl around them each year are an enormous opportunity to transform the city into a widespread creative hub.  Through a month long investigation, we will gather suggestions, proposals and directions to begin an open discussion at the end of September.
Can Venice, a greatly attractive city with ever more empty spaces and ever fewer residents, become an extended hub where studios, living spaces and exhibition venues can be networked to welcome new residents and their vital contribution?
